Art Imitates Art!

In season 1 episode 8 of ABC's Once Upon a Time, Rumpelstiltskin steals a mystical dagger with a name on one side of the blade:

For those who know a little about rock 'n roll history, ZOSO happens to be the nickname of Led Zeppelin's 4th album, which was otherwise untitled but is also referred to as "Led Zeppelin IV".  I like ZOSO better!

Led Zeppelin is known for its lyrical and artistic references to the fantasy genre, including Tolkien -- e.g., references to Gollum and Mordor in the song "Ramble On" as well as songs called "Misty Mountain Hop" and "The Battle of Evermore".  The writers of Once Upon a Time obviously have a good sense of humor and a healthy appreciation for Led Zeppelin.  Pretty cool, huh?

One of my favorite songs ever...

"Fire On High" is the opening track from the 1975 Electric Light Orchestra album Face the Music.

Rock 'n Roll History

The original pressing of the cover of Street Survivors had a photograph of the band standing in flames. The cover was changed to an alternate photo with an all-black background, out of respect for the deceased. Thirty years later, the original "flames" cover was restored.
